Parrish's snake wrangling
We decided to take a day and go to Sentosa Island, which is a small island off the southern coast of Singapore (still Singapore) that is a developing area with many, many amusements such as an aquarium, a dolphin lagoon, butterfly park, etc. We were coming out of the aquarium and there was a man with 2 baskets with lids on his table just off the walking path. As we walked by, he took the lids off and had 2 very real, very docile snakes. He was motioning to Parrish ask
ing if she would like to pet the snake. I was certain she wouldn't go near it especially since she never wants to put her hand in the water of petting pools in aquariums. But she walked right over, started touching the snake and eventually the man had the reptile around her neck. Of course he was trying to get me to take her picture so he could get the $6 donation requested. He donned her a fancy hat to boot. Isn't she so brave? While I was taking her picture, Sabrina was reaching into the other basket and trying to pet the other snake. She will touch anything we've discovered. Must keep our eyes on her! I really didn't want Sabrina to have a snake around her neck (plus pay another $6), so requested she just pet the nice animal and lets move on. Poor snakes. I think they just wanted to take a nap.
